Privacy Policy
Cocoa App LLC ("we", "our", or "us") builds software for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. The short version: we collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
Information We Collect
Apps you purchase through the App Store. We don't collect personal information through our apps. Apple handles payment processing; we receive only the sales reports Apple provides to all developers, which contain no personally identifying information.
Support emails. When you email us at support@cocoaapp.com, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry. We don't add you to any mailing list without your explicit opt-in.
Our website. cocoaapp.com does not use any third-party analytics, advertising scripts, or tracking pixels. We have no visibility into who visits the site beyond what our hosting provider's basic server logs contain (IP addresses and request timestamps), which we do not analyze or retain beyond standard log rotation.
Information Our Apps Do Not Collect
Our apps do not:
- Send usage data or analytics to us or any third party.
- Include any advertising SDKs.
- Access your data for any purpose other than the feature you explicitly invoked.
- Require an account with Cocoa App.
- Apps that use OAuth sign in flows store tokens securely in the Apple Keychain
Third-Party Services
Our apps authenticate with third-party services (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) at your direction. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data. We encourage you to review those policies.
App downloads and purchases are handled by Apple. Apple's privacy policy is available at apple.com/privacy.
Children's Privacy
Our apps and website are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our products change. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, post a note on our website. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
